Classification of capacitors and related knowledge
Air capacitor: that is, the capacitor with air as a dielectric, such as: radio inside the "tuning" with the variable capacitor.
Electrolytic capacitors: capacitors with electrolytes as dielectric.
Paper capacitors: capacitors with a special capacitive paper as dielectric.
Porcelain veneer capacitors: capacitors with a single layer of ceramic material as dielectric.
Mica capacitors: Capacitors with natural mica as dielectric
Monolithic capacitors: Capacitors with ceramic materials as dielectric. In practical applications, multiple porcelain chip capacitors are connected in series in order to solve the shortcomings of small capacity of single-layer porcelain chip capacitors.
Polyester power capacitor: a capacitor with nylon material as dielectric.
Tantalum capacitor: It is a kind of capacitor made with metallic tantalum (Ta) as the anode material.
Niobium capacitor: it uses metallic niobium [ní] as the positive electrode, dilute sulfuric acid and other matching liquids as the negative electrode, and the oxide film generated on the surface of niobium as a dielectric made of a capacitor .
Wire-wound capacitor: It is a kind of capacitor with metal wire wound on the dielectric as the electrode, which can be used to adjust the size of the electrode area by changing the number of turns of the metal wire so as to adjust the size of the capacity.
Oil-impregnated paper capacitor: It is a kind of capacitor that uses a neutral drifting oil as dielectric, and is mostly used in power system.
According to the adjustability of capacitors, they can be divided into:
Fixed capacitance: Capacitor with constant capacitance value.
Variable capacitance: It can be adjusted freely within a certain capacity range. For example, it is a variable capacitor that can be manually tuned to select a station in a radio.
Adjustable capacitor: It is also called semi-variable capacitor, which can be adjusted within a certain range, such as: porcelain dielectric micro-engraving capacitor and wire-wound capacitor.
When it comes to capacitors, I believe you must be familiar with them. In fact, there are many types of capacitors, let us learn more about capacitors and the related knowledge.
